How to become a PIA under DDU-GKY sponsored by Ministry of Rural Development

The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) announced the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Antyodaya Diwas, on 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.
DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families. As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns. Over 180 million or 69% of the country’s youth population between the ages of 18 and 34 years, live in its rural areas. Of these, the bottom of the pyramid youth from poor families with no or marginal employment number about 55 million.

Eligiblity: Any registered organization (other than proprietorships or partnerships, however a limited liability partnership or LLP is accepted) can apply to be a Training Partners. With below mentioned steps you can become a PIA (Project Implementing Agency) for DDU-GKY.
Step 1: Complete the eForm for a Permanent Registration Number (PRN). You will need the following:
  • A picture of your organization's premises/ training facilities
  • Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation or Registration
Step 2: After submission of PRN application form through the website, you will receive a 4 digit Temporary Registration Number (TRN) by email from DDU-GKY as proof of submission of the PRN application form. Keep it safely. This TRN has to be referred to in all your communication. Email here for any queries and further information on your PRN
Step 3: After a verification and validation process by DDU-GKY you will receive a PRN. This will be delivered to you be mail (offline and online).
Step 4: After receiving the PRN, proceed to the Project Proposal form to submit a project. The form will also guide you on how to fill and all supporting documentary evidences. Click here for the Form
Step 5: Submit the project application form with complete and accurate details.
On submission of application the project will evaluated in Project Approval Comittee in case of AAP States or Empowered Committee in case of non AAP State and if considered, the project is sanctioned to PIA.
